Phu Quoc is a beautiful archipelago located deep in the Gulf of Thailand, Kien Giang province. In the southern waters of the country, Ngoc Phu Quoc – Vietnam’s largest island, is also the largest of the 22 islands here. Travel to Phu Quoc

• The most touristy time is from April to September.

Transportation: Vehicles, travel when traveling to Phu Quoc

Transportation to Phu Quoc is mainly by plane, high-speed train or ferry. Here are the options to go to Phu Quoc depending on the different starting points:

Hanoi – Phu Quoc: Vietnam Airlines operates a daily Airbus flight from Hanoi to Phu Quoc, departing at 8:40 am and arriving at 10:45 am. The reverse flight departs from Phu Quoc at 11:35 am and arrives at 13:40.

Ho Chi Minh City – Phu Quoc: A distance of 500 km, you can go by plane or a combination of car + high speed train Rach Gia – Phu Quoc

Aircraft: Vietnam Airlines operates 17 flights daily with ATR aircraft and 1 flight with Airbus aircraft. Viet Jet Air jointly operates one flight per day with Air Bus aircraft. Flight time is 50 minutes.

Car + high-speed train Rach Gia – Phu Quoc: Phuong Trang, Kumho and Mai Linh are high-quality bus companies transporting passengers on the HCMC – Rach Gia route and vice versa, travel time is 6 Up to 7 hours depending on traffic density.

Can Tho – Phu Quoc: Can go by plane or in combination with car + high speed train Rach Gia – Phu Quoc

Aircraft: Vietnam Airlines operates a daily flight with ATR aircraft departing from Can Tho to Phu Quoc at 13H: 00 and arriving at 13:45. The oncoming return flight departs from Phu Quoc at 11:35 am and arrives at 12:20 pm.

Car + high-speed train Rach Gia – Phu Quoc: Phuong Trang and Mai Linh are 2 high-quality bus companies transporting passengers on the Can Tho – Rach Gia route and vice versa, travel time is 3 to 3, 5 hours depending on traffic density.

• From the airport to Duong Dong Center / Dinh Cau area by taxi, it takes about 20 minutes. Phu Quoc has two largest taxi companies, SASCO and Mai Linh, both of which are metered, quite safe and convenient for tourists.

Rach Gia – Phu Quoc: Distance 120 km, can be traveled by plane or high-speed train:

Aircraft: Vietnam Airlines operates a daily flight from Rach Gia to Phu Quoc, departing at 7:30 and arriving at 8h10. The reverse flight departs from Phu Quoc at 8:45 and arrives at 9:25.

Road from Ho Chi Minh City to Rach Gia:

• From the pick-up point on Le Hong Phong Street, District 10 with a bus:

Or if departing from the western bus station, there are Kumho Samco, Ba Dung, Tuyet Hon, Chau Ha buses.

• The bus will arrive at Rach Gia bus station (Kien Giang). Ticket price is about: 120,000 – 150,000 VND / ticket / one way, running time is about 6-7 hours.

• Should buy a 45 seat bus ticket, you can easily fall back for a good night’s sleep. To save time, you should choose the bus ride about 10 pm, 5 am the car will arrive in Kien Giang. Before you get off the bus, remember to ask the driver for the parking location of the transfer vehicle to get on without any charge. Don’t let the motorbike taxi’s wings drag you, just aim the transit vehicle straight ahead. When you get on the transfer bus, you tell the driver that you want to go to the pier to Phu Quoc.

– High-speed train: Superdong shipping line operates Rach Gia – Phu Quoc sea cruise and vice versa, the morning departs at 8:00 am and the afternoon departs at 13:00, travel time on the sea is 2.5 hours.

Ho Chi Minh City – Ha Tien – Phu Quoc: The distance 45 km, can go by speedboat or ferry

By road from Ho Chi Minh City to Ha Tien: The cars from Saigon to Ha Tien include:

Ferry: Departure at Thanh Thoi ferry (Ha Tien), stop at Da Chong port (Bai Thom, Phu Quoc). The ferry has a large capacity, can carry all kinds of cars. The ferry ride time is more than 2 hours. From Da Chong ferry to Duong Dong town center about 20km, you can go by bus or motorbike taxi (this area is a bit difficult to find a taxi).

– High-speed trains: Superdong I and Superdong II depart from Ha Tien to Phu Quoc at 8:00 and 13:00; from Phu Quoc to Ha Tien at 8:30 and 13:30 daily. Hong Tam high-speed boat also exploits this sea voyage, starting from Ha Tien to Phu Quoc at 13:30 and from Phu Quoc to Ha Tien at 8:30 daily. Travel time at sea is 1 hour and 20 minutes. MOVING IN PHU QUOC: There are three main roads:

– Tran Hung Dao Street: The road has the most hotels and resorts in Phu Quoc, most of them have beaches, starting from the intersection of the year stretching to the end of Truong beach, to An Thoi. You can comfortably go from beach to resort, and the length of this free beach is more than 10km. Tran Hung Dao Street is also the way to visit the galleries – Coi Nguon, Ngoc Trai, Phu Quoc prison, Hang Yen.

– Road 30/4 – Phu Quoc Food Street: There are many restaurants and eateries, you can try seafood at roadside stalls at a better price than the night market. This road goes to Sung Hung Co Tu pagoda, Tranh stream, Ham Ninh fishing village, Bai Vong wharf. You can go this way through An Thoi to visit Sao beach, Khem beach.

Hung Vuong street: This road creates a junction with 30/04 road. Go straight to the first intersection is Nguyen Trung Truc street, turn left to the airport, right turn is the direction to Da Ban stream, Khu Tuong pepper garden, national park, Ganh Dau, Ong Nguyen temple, Vung Bau tourist area …
